The message that is going to guide us this whole week is from Job 42:10 and 12. When Job prayed for his friends the Lord blessed him double fold and gave him everything in abundance. Let us see why: God blessed Job in abundance and gave him double fold was because in all his trials and temptation he didn’t sin against god and didn’t charge God foolishly (Job 1:22).
When we move on to Genesis 3:12, it sets a very right example of “Blaming Others” which Adam and eve did in the garden of Eden whereas Job did not blame God for anything that had occurred in his life. Neither did he blamed others. Our next verse for meditation is from Ruth 1:20; this verse shows another classic example of how Naomi blamed God because she had lost everything in her life. Moving on to Luke 10:40, how Martha was cumbered about the worldly pleasures but Mary hath chosen the good part which cannot be taken away from her.
Do we always blame God for all failures and happenings in our life?
The next verse for our meditation is psalm 37:4, when we delight in the Lord we have a way for all our hearts desires to be fulfilled. Moving on to Job 9:15, it is crystal clear how Job didn’t react to any of his suffering but he gave up his supplication to the Lord Almighty to judge him in all his ways. Isaiah 49:13, 14, 15 shows us that God comforts His people and has mercy on them but in turn they have said that God hath forsaken them in fact though the mother may forget her sucking child but the lord will not. The next verse is from psalm 123:2, tells us how we should wait upon the Lord for him to show his mercy upon us.
When we concentrate on Daniel 9:18, it is clear that our supplications to God are mainly for his mercies like how Daniel submitted his supplication to Lord job 13:15. Job says when God says him he will still trust in him and have faith in him but are we having faith in our loving Lord and trusting him in all aspects of our life in Proverbs 29:25 conveys the message that when we trust the lord we are safe and secure in his Loving arms. Next verse is Isaiah 26:3; when we trust in God then our life will be filled with peace and prosperity.
Psalm 37:5 tells us to commit our ways to the Lord and everything will turn out in flying colors. Our God is great and gives his blessing in abundance to those who fear him Psalm 31:19; in Isaiah 50:10 when we fear and obey the lord then our blessings will come automatically without any hindrance like how Job trusted God and lived a doubly blessed life because of the testimony that he received from God and hence set an example for us to live like him.
There is no surprise that he did receive double fold blessings from God. Job is an Icon of Faith!
